Anthony Ross is a Cleveland-based charcoal artist who has been translating emotion into form for over 12 years. Each stroke of charcoal and sweep of shadow is a quiet hymn—one that speaks of love that endures, identities reclaimed, grief that softens, and the quiet perseverance of the human spirit.

Drawing inspiration from personal experience and collective memory, my work often merges realism with symbolism—hourglasses where voices should be, gold tears in black skies, and faces lit by unseen suns.

Every piece is a prayer, a question, and a mirror.
